Alliance League

Henbury ladies have two teams entered in the BDLGA League. Our A Team is in  Division 1 and were narrowly beaten into second position in 2011 after leading for most of the season.  Our B Team unfortunately had a more disappointing year and go down to Division 4 - better luck for 2012!  Each team is made up of seven players and matches are played in handicap order against six other clubs both home and away.

Scratch and Handicap Foursomes

The League also runs Scratch and Handicap Foursomes knock-out competitions every year.  

 Mail on Sunday

This is a national competition run by the Mail on Sunday. 

Each round is played by a team of five players.  2008 was our most successful year recently when we reached the last 16 in the UK.

Gloucestershire County

Each year Gloucestershire Ladies' County Golf Association runs three team events (for four players) and two foursomes competitions, together with the County Championships. 

 Friendly Team

The friendly matches are popular and well supported. We have 11 in all and they offer the opportunity for mid to high handicappers to play home and away matches in greensomes' format and in a low key, friendly atmosphere followed by tea and socialising!

The 2011 season has now finished with everyone who has played in the friendly teams being invited to join in a fun competition followed by dinner to end the year.
