Henbury Golf Club

Match & Handicap

With only a handful of competitions run during 2020 the match and handicap are looking forward to a busier year in 2021.

We also see our current Chairman, Steve Heath, step down.

As we have transitioned, largely smoothly, to the World Handicap System (WHS) you all should now have your golf index and have access to your personal dashboard with England Golf. We are conscious that we are yet to run a competition under WHS conditions so are introducing the “We’re back!” roll ups that will run on the 17th & 18th April. If you want to enter you will need to do so via the pro-shop on the day, max playing handicap 28.

The Bob Newton will be the first regular competition of the year on the 24th April.

Across 2021 we are keen to introduce some new comps, so if there is a format or competition you have seen elsewhere that you think would be good to introduce to Henbury drop us a line on the email address below. We will also continue with the 9 hole comps introduced in 2019.

As mentioned earlier, our current Chairman, Steve Heath, steps down from the committee in April. Steve has done a fantastic job in helping the club transition onto World Handicap System, helping to iron out the odd wrinkle, he was also King of the competition set-up on V1 and has been training his successor in readiness for the handover. Thanks for all your help, Steve, and good luck.
