On a day where there were many tricky pin positions the scoring was very impressive! Some statistics – from a field of 54 pairs there were 23 scores of 40 points or more and 30 scores of 39 points or more.

On a day with tricky pin placements and players called off the course due to the threat of lightning in the afternoon round, one player still produced 2 amazing under par rounds! Congratulations to Nick Day (Henbury GC) with rounds of 64 & 66 finishing 8 under wins the GGU ‘City & County’ competition played at Henbury Golf Club..

This result confirms Nick as this years GGU ‘Duchess Salver’ winner. A competition competed for over 8 venues throughout Gloucester of which Nick won an unprecedented 7 events and finished a total of 39 under par for the 18 rounds.
Congratulations to Tom Morris (Lansdown GC) who wins the Net prize with rounds of 72 & 67 – 139 total.

Congratulations to Nick Day (Henbury GC) with rounds of 67 & 67 gross 134 wins the GGU ‘City & County’ with a birdie on the 1st extra hole in a play-off against Edmund Fry (Minchinhampton GC ) who also had rounds of 67 & 67.
Third place 1 shot behind goes to Jake Phillips (Cotswold Hills GC) and our congratulations also go to him as this years winner of the GGU Duchess Salver.
